ADMINS: What are Crib Sheets?
Crib sheets in CEU Locker are instructional PDFs, that YOUR organizations can upload into your Admin panel, in order to educate CEU Providers, CEU Holders, and your CEU Reviewers on how to be successful in your CEU Locker platform.
These downloadable documents can be incredibly helpful in decreasing the number of routine question coming to your office, and increasing the % of successful submission from your users.
Here are suggestions on what to include in your Crib Sheets:
CEU Provider Crib Sheet
- PDF should be on your Organization's official letterhead, or have your logo at the top
- Clear bullet point rubric for required supporting documents that must be uploaded by Provider
- Clear indicator of what the official name of credit are called in your Organization (CEU, CE, CPD, etc)
- Succinct description of how credit hours/units are calculated by your Organization
- Listing of the Organization's review fees and how they are calculated (the less complicated your fee structure, the better!)
- List your organization's continuing education contact information for any Providers that have questions outside the scope of the Crib Sheet.
- Here are some example crib sheets to model after: Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, Example 4
CEU Holder Crib Sheet
- CEU Holder Crib Sheets may serve dual purposes, depending on the setting in your Organization's system: a) Advice to your CEU Holders on how to make a successful submission, or b) general information about licensure and accredidation requirements in your industry.
- If you organization does not allow CEU Holder's to submit their individual credit events for Review, then they still will have the ability to 'self-store' their credit events on the dashboard connected to your Organization. Including in your CEU Holder crib sheet details and advice on "what" they should self-store in their CEU Locker, will provide them guidance in the event they are audited or need to access those records later.
CEU Reviewer Crib Sheet
- Some organizations that send their course credit applications out to external Reviewing staff for assessment, may benefit from a Reviewer Crib Sheet.
- Listing specific criteria for how an application should be rated, providing standards, or clear, easy to understand guide rails for judging applications will help homogenize the scores between different Reviewers.
These documents are incredibly helpful for understanding rubrics on how to get your course credit approved, along with requirements for licensure and other accreditation in the organizations specialty area.
